Movie Set Travel: The Devil Wears Prada

Underlings rejoice! Your day has come. The Devil Wears Prada hits screens today, and sweet satisfaction will be yours. Assuming your pyscho boss lets you out early enough to catch a 3pm matinee.

You know the drill by now: Poor Runway assistant (Anne Hathaway) is abused by her evil boss (Meryl Streep), who is a thinly disguised Anna Wintour. As the movie was filmed in the Big Apple, we offer you some Prada-themed things to do on a summer afternoon--if you can manage to slip away from the boss-beast:

Where To Shop:
Bergdorf Goodman
Swipe the nasty boss's Black AMEX, kidnap your fellow peons and head to "BG", as it's affectionately known. Head directly to the Fifth Floor and charge as much as you can before the card gets cancelled. Then stop in at the New Level of Beauty in the basement and scam some La Mer sample packets.

Where To Soiree:
The Plumm
Expense a company car down to 14th Street and hit up The Plumm. Sink into the Victorian couches and hide behind the palm trees while listening to celeb DJs. Make sure to forego Cristal--Jay-Z could be in the next booth. Not to worry, the couches are stiletto-proof.

Where To Eat:
Mr.Chow
Using your boss's name, call and get a last-minute rezzie at the latest hotspot, the new Mr.Chow in Tribeca. Who cares about the blah food or terrible service? You won't be eating it or worrying about it--you just want to be seen. Sidle up to the black-laquered bar and dig into those silver bowls of unlimited champagne. It's enough to make you forget you have to be back at work next week.
