The menu smackdown is on! Menupix, a competitor to Menupages, has also recently launched L.A. and D.C. iterations, in addition to New York City and a few other suburbs. The world of online menudom is not as monolithic as you might think, or so it would seem. Take it away, Dan Praport, co-founder of menupix:
We offer the same menu selection as menupages except we offer scanned menus for all the restaurants. Scanned menus allow the user to gain more of a feel for the type of the restaurant they may order from or go to. I think your readers would be interested in our site as well. While we doubt this will develop into a VHS or Betamax kind of thing--it's more like a Colecovision or Intellivision kind of thing--we're curious to see which menu collection comes out on top. Could this become an even more heated rivalry? Will there be rumbles? Oh, we really hope there will be rumbles.
