American Idol Hits up Graceland

May 9, 2006 at 9:10 AM | by | Comments (0)

Tonight's American Idol comes to you from on the road. Think the Jungle Room, a circular bed, and fifteen-foot white leather couches. That's right, Priscilla and Lisa Marie Presley welcomed Idol contestants Chris Daughtry, Taylor Hicks, Katharine McPhee and Elliott Yamin this past weekend to Graceland, where the episode was shot.

Priscilla made a stretch, comparing the contestants to the King as she said "Elvis, too, had to audition, He was laughed at. He was basically booed off stage." Of course, he didn't have to deal with an egomaniac poseur with an English accent and a washed-up pop star. We think he might have been a bit better off than these poor kids. Somebody get them a fried peanut butter and banana sandwich.
