Hooligans Denied Passports, Dental Work

Where: Germany

Preparations are in full swing to combat Germany's biggest concern during the World Cup. No, not a shortage of currywurst--soccer hooligans. Both the English and the Poles are working with the Germany authorities, as those two countries are the leading offenders as far as the Germans see it.

The English have gone so far as to revoke the passports of 3,500 of their worst hooligans. Does FIFA rank the hooligans? The Brits are also sending policemen and judges to the event, so that they'll be able to prosecute on the spot.

The Poles are slightly less organized, as hooliganism is a recent phenomenon there, but it still could spell trouble. Last year, Polish toughs had a rumble with German soccer fans in a forest near Berlin. Is this hooliganism, or West Side Story?
