Namibia Asks for Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's First Born
First, Brad and Angelina defected to Namibia (in a possible attempt to destroy the country's fragile infrastructure), and now they've supposedly given rights to their baby's name in exchange for the inconvenience.
It has been reported in a number of pseudo-reputable British publications that Brangelina have given the right to name their perfect child to Namibian governor Samuel Nuuyoma. While the stars' reps refute the claim, Nuuyoma says, "It's true...This is a great honor for Namibia, and everyone is very excited." We know we certainly are, but could it really be any worse a name than Apple, or Moon Unit?
Who are we to believe? A regional Namibian tribal leader, or Pitt, a soon-to-be father who was caught Thursday pulling a Britney? Yes, sadly, Namibia saw its first case of celebrity baby neglect when Brad took little Zahara, aged 16 months, out for a bike ride. In a papoose. Without a helmet. No doubt this lapse in judgement will fail to threaten the Namibian government, which presumably has worse child welfare problems to deal with. But the paparazzi's all over it!
And for visitors to Namibia: Look forward to National Brangelina Junior Day!
