Tourist Transportation is Electric

Have you heard? Electric tourist cars are all the rage.
With the high cost of gas (rental SUVs are now less expensive than compact cars), Vanity Fair's Green issue, and Al Gore's renaissance, tourists are turning to souped up golf carts in droves.
In San Francisco, a company called Electric Time Car Rentals is leading the charge by offering GPS guided tours in their doorless put puts. If we are to believe the press photos, these little cars can actually make it up and down Hyde Street without incident and that speaks volumes to us. Though if you look closely at the photo there could be a hidden dude pushing the car up the hill. Think about it conspiracy theorists.
Electric Time is located in Fisherman's wharf and daily prices start at a steep $164.00.
We think we have spotted these cars in Faneuil Hall in Boston as well. Have you seen electric tourist cars on the scene in your city? Let us know about it.
