On the Road

We think that travel is so tough, but for the most part, it's getting more comfortable and homogenized (unless you're standing the whole flight). Between Starbucks and Starwood, roughing it is fast disappearing. Want to read about some real adventure travel, then, one free of the easy life?

In that case, we'd recommend the anonymous blog of a woman who goes by "Wandering Scribe". A homeless woman living out of her car in London, she keeps herself looking nice enough to spend her days using the computer at libraries in London, where she blogs about what she is going through. While it's not as titillating as Belle du Jour, it's an interesting window into a part of the world which none of us ever hope to visit.
