I'd Glady Pay You Tuesday for a Taco Today

We promise that we won't always torture you with protein bombs, like the eggs, bacon, chips, and beans from earlier in the week. We believe in balance when it comes to single-minded foodstuff focus, so today we present to you The Great Taco Hunt.

This time, tacos (natch) are the name of the game, though the scope of exploration is limited to the Los Angeles area. What signals the potential for a good taco? Hand-printed menus, limited lettuce--it covers taco mistakes--and a dark salsa roja. We would hasten to add that any place with a mascot wearing a bandolier won't be up to par, but that's our own personal philosophy.
