It's always frustrating to try and cram too much into a trip into a short a period of time--the old saw that it's Tuesday, so it must be Belgium. Sometimes, going slow is the best way. What if you eschewed transportation and just walked everywhere?
That's what amateur filmmaker Lee Kazimir has set out to do. Inspired by a Werner Herzog (of Grizzly Man and Fitzcarraldo fame) interview in which Herzog said that walking from Madrid to Kiev would be preferable to attending film school, Lee has set out to do exactly that. After a few months of prep, he arrived in Madrid at the beginning of this month to start his solo trek.
Right now he's still slogging his way through Spain with his video camera, but we think this idea is awesome. Shouldn't some shoe companies be sponsoring him?
