Slav Sheds Spare Tire Super Sizing

March 16, 2006 at 9:44 AM | 0 Comments

As we covered here when the experiment began, the Czech man who ate nothing but Czech pub grub for a month to celebrate the premiere of Super Size Me in Czech Republic has finished his experiment, and the results are surprising. Karel Bozan (pictured) lost thirteen pounds and lowered his cholesterol by the end of the month-long test. Will goulash and dumpling diets soon become a fad across Central Europe?

More likely is that keeping to a regular dietary schedule--that's three squares a day, folks, even if those squares include fried cheese and bread dumplings--helped Karel lose the weight. That, and the complete absence of McGriddles from the experiment. Pancakes, egg, and sausage, all in one sandwich? Even Czech pub food is less fatty than that.
