Meet the New Jaunted King

Wondering who this AVB guy is and why he is getting boatloads of Jaunted bylines? AVB is Alexander Basek, the new daily travel sherpa around here.

Our new editor hails from somewhere in the darkest corners of upstate New York, but luckily for us he was able to find his way to the East Village, where he currently resides. Most days, Alex is staring bleary-eyed at his laptop screen, methodically encircling the the world on his web browser while eating a bowl of Frankenberry.

So what are his qualifications?  He was a bellman for two days at Hotel Giraffe, toured Albania with a nutty historian/tour/guide/TV personality, wrote for the Post, and drank at graduated from NYU.

Alex will will have the help of Jaunted's growing stable of contributing editors, but as you know, we run on your travel tips, stories, photos, and bitchfests, so keep 'em coming.
