It's another new feature! We find that traveling also presents an opportunity to see a band we may have missed at home. Often, it's a question of knowing where the best place to see a concert in town. Each week, we'll recommend a venue that you might want to check out on your next trip abroad. We'll call it the Choosy Concertgoer.

Our first choice of venue is the Divadlo Archa in Prague. Many bands play at the grittier Palac Akropolis, but the ones with real stones play at the Archa. David Byrne AND the White Stripes have played there--how much more cred can you get?

The venue isn't typical Central European faded grandeur, either, although it did require serious reconstruction after the 2002 flooding. Thanks to a swoopy, modern interior and excellent acoustics, the Archa Theatre is considered one of the best venues in the region.

John Cale, who performed at the theatre's inaugural show in 1994, will play there again on March 9th.
