2006 Awards: Best Domestic Airline

We know everyone loves a close call, but unfortunately this category wasn't a tough one. Despite a few bumps along the way, including a suspicious frequent flier program, JetBlue was our enduring domestic airline crush of 2006.

Sure, we were pissed when we heard about the sleepy pilots, but it didn't take long after that incident for JetBlue to break news we loved: they're yanking a row of seats from all of their Airbus jets, and the move will increase leg room in some rows to 36 inches. Besides, watching Laguna Beach at 30,000 feet is just so damn comforting.

We even love most of the smaller airports they fly to, like Burbank. And though JetBlue prices are not always so budget, we did take advantage of some great fares this past year. If that on-board wi-fi comes through, there is no stopping them.
