It was a bad, bad year for Northwest. Not only did the Detroit-based airline have to wrestle with its 2005 bankruptcy filing, it endured our taunting as well. But you were on our side, weren't you? We thought so.
It would be shallow to hate on them only for that butt-ugly website, but Northwest didn't stop there. They started charging extra for the seats we normally count on snatching by checking in early, messed with Carmelo Anthony, and only recently started offering a little variety for their first class passengers. Finally, they insist on calling themselves NWA, which to us will forever mean Ice Cube, Easy E, Dr. Dre, MC Ren, and DJ Yella.
There's no denying that 2006 was not NWA's year. We'll begrudgingly wish them a happy year afloat in 2007, but only because we're hoping the competition will save us some money.
