Airline Report: New Route Round-Up

· Mandarin Airlines now flies a Fokker 100 from Taichung, Taiwan, (the gateway airport to Sun Moon Lake) to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. [Nhan Dan]
· Etihad, the bastard brother of Emirates, will begin service to Kuala Lumpur on January 15. Back in North America, the Abu Dhabi-based airline flies to Toronto and New York. [Gulf Times]
· Delta service between New York's JFK Airport and Accra, Ghana, is still garden-fresh, having launched earlier this month. It's a satisfying alternative to the shady likes of North American Airlines. [Delta]
· American has sort of dropped the ball in announcing its Seattle-Austin route will kick off in April, not quite in time for South By Southwest. Too bad, because it could have been the ultimate party plane. Oh well, there's always next year. [PR Newswire]
· And finally, LCC SkyEurope has planted itself in Vienna. It's a welcome addition to the city's budget-flight seekers unwilling to bus it to Bratislava. [SkyEurope]
