Santa Isn't The Only One Who Digs The North Pole

While this time of year the North Pole is fairly dead, save Santa et al, come spring the North Pole will be hopping with scientists, tourists and explorers looking for climate clues, mid-life rushes, and ice.
Most North Pole expeditions take place from April - August and involve getting to Longyearbyen in the Savalbard Islands, then taking a helicopter to the ice airport of Barneo. Sound too Hoth for you? Staring in January 2007 you can book a flight from continental Europe to the North Pole through LTU.
The Düsseldorf to North Pole flight is just a sightseeing flight, but it includes the option to book in "Polar Comfort" class, which includes champagne, films about the the North Pole, and an English speaking tour guide.
Happy Holidays from everyone here at Jaunted, we will resume our daily publishing schedule on Tuesday December 26th.
