Sometimes discounts come when a destination is so hot and trendy that airlines can profit, both from the money and the publicity, despite the price cuts. Like, there could be something kind of sexy about a JetBlue sale for flights to the Dominican Republic. But we can't help but wonder about their Pittsburgh promotion. They're shilling seats between NYC and Pittsburgh for just $29 each way. It kind of feels like a diss.
There's no such thing as too cheap for the wallet (unless you live in China, apparently), but for the ego...perhaps. Still, Sienna Miller, if you're reading, this does not give you license to talk shit. The fare requires a 14-day advance purchase, and seems to be bookable right through April (the latest month for which JetBlue is accepting all of its reservations, system-wide). That's good, because as much as we want to be nice to Pittsburgh, we will say that it's not really somewhere we want to spend the deep winter.
