Airline Report: In Heaven and in Hell

Outside of a plane crash, what's your worst air nightmare? This incident has got to come pretty close. A rodent infestation (some sources say "mice," others "rats") broke out on a Saudi Airlines flight from Riyadh to Tabuk on Wednesday. The plane was well up in the air when the animals liberated themselves from someone's carry-on baggage--'twas leather, no less. Passengers went berserk, naturally.

JetBlue, on the other hand, will soon be doing more to improve your travel experience. They just announced a plan to increase legroom on all their A320s by March. To do so, they will remove one row of seats, giving rows 1-9 a whopping (for coach) 36 inches of seat pitch. Exit row pitch will stay the same at 38 inches, as will all others at 34. JetBlue expects to save money with the move, and we're now dreaming more than ever that they add more international routes.
