100 Things Down Under
Often when we talk about Australia we make fun of their passion for Big Things, be they koalas, bananas or slide rules. But this week's big thing is a list of 100 things to do in Australia before you die: this sounds like a good idea.
The Australian Traveller magazine compiled the list using information from travel agents, travel writers and humble travelers themselves. The top 100 includes a number of sights and activities we've come to expect from Down Under: snorkeling or diving on the Great Barrier Reef or visiting Uluru (Ayers' Rock) rate highly, of course. Eating a painted crayfish on Thursday Island, on the other hand, isn't usually on a must-do list. It is now. And if you have a craving to be famous, the Aussies have the perfect event for you:
