This week's edition of the million-dollar-race-around-the-world keeps the creep on. Petey and Sarah keep up their bizarre relationship--sort of, including lots of shady behavior from Joe Simpson doppelganger Peter. Rob and Kimberly manage to go a week without fighting like crazy, but did the race turn his hair gray overnight, or is it us? The honest Cho brothers tell us they're in the race for the experience not the money. Dave and Mary on the other hand? They running around the world for the cold hard cash, and the kids. After the jump, the full rundown on all the happenings, financial or otherwise.

As the teams leave Halong Bay for Hanoi, where they'll then catch flights for Chennai, India, we hear a little bit from Sarah on her race experience so far. She's been dealing with creepy Petey and, well, "I don't hold him on this pedestal that I did before," she says. As the teams head out from the bay, it's the middle of the night. This predictably leads to everyone being at the train station by the time it opens. So when the train rolls out to Hanoi, everyone is on it.

Next thing you know, Peter starts acting super-shady on the train ride. Peter strikes a deal with DuKa to work together: "We'll show you our map and you remember us down the road." We're still trying to figure out why on earth he thinks the beauty queens would do anyone a favor. The Barbies figure the only reason he wants to help is because he's attracted to them. Please, ladies.

Here's where the fun starts: The Cho brothers have a fake cell phone and use it to throw off the other teams. It's fun and games until creepy Petey borrows a real phone from a Vietnamese woman to call ahead to a Hanoi travel agent. He sets up some tickets for he, Sarah and DuKa. Because of some poorly-explained regulations, the teams have to buy their tickets to Chennai at travel agencies--they can't buy them at the airport. Creepy Petey just edged out a lead.

Waiting for his flight, creepy Petey talks a lot of trash on the other teams and generally makes everyone uncomfortable. DuKa seem mildly pleased with him, but jeez he's a slimeball. By the time they make it to their stopover in Bangkok, DuKa get their (limited) wits about them and decide that this deal with the devil is over. "All bets are off now. Things will never be the same again," one of the Barbies says. All teams are pretty much even so far even though they were on a host of flights. Are we the only ones whose flights get delayed?

Teams are no sooner in Chennai than leaving it for Mamallapuram. They are in town long enough for Peter to yammer, "We go from one polluted city to another." We were totally in shock until Karlyn started talking about the stares they've been getting from skinny Asian people: "You never seen somebody with a little extra body fat?" After all the great chat, teams get to their weekly Detour: Wild Things or Wild Rice. It's either copying a pattern with colored powder made from rice or wrangling a crocodile with the help of some locals.

Peter and Sarah as well as DuKa get to the croc farm first and knock the challenge out with little trouble. (Peter totally micromanages Sarah's attempts to help--she cracks again delivering the stinger: "I'm not really having fun with you Peter.") The Cho brothers and Lyn and Karlyn opt for the Wild Rice pattern-making. They do it for about five minutes before realizing that crocodile wrasslin' is a better idea. Tyler and James as well as Dave and Mary show up later and struggle through the colored powder challenge.

Everyone rolls back to Chennai and heads for Kartick Driving School for their road block. Indian drivers are insane, as a Jaunted video from earlier this year shows us. The racers sit through a driver's ed class with an outlandish instructor before driving the chaotic streets. It doesn't really seem to provide much trouble for anyone--though Karlyn asks "Which side do I drive on?!" Once she and everyone else get it sorted out, they head for Chettinad and its palace, the site of this week's pit stop. Peter and Sarah are the first to arrive. Each of them wins a home gym system--good thing since they probably won't be moving in together any time soon. Dave and Mary show up last, but Phil tells them this wasn't an elimination leg. They are too shocked to even realize their good luck: they weren't given the boot.

Best Bit of American Diplomacy:
Kimberly on a bus full of normal Indian folks, to Rob: "Please don't let anyone touch me... It smells like fish." Or DuKa on the cattle roaming the streets in a Hindu part of India: "Is that a homeless cow? I don't know."

The Scoreboard:
Dave and Mary show up last but were spared--hey, we told you last week to be ready for a non-elimination leg. They're now "marked for elimination" which means they have to show up first next week or face a 30 minute penalty. Cool new rule, Phil! Rob and Kimberly seem to have succeeded in "just chilling," something they said they would work on. Tyler and James did fine in their first week as the only gay team left on the show.

Coming Next Week:
Looks like Dubai--which is the new Middle Eastern travel hotness right now. Tyler and James have fun racing camels. And Dave and Mary have to come in first.
