To the Airport, Chop Chop

Tired of getting stuck in traffic on the Van Wyck? Depressed that traveling by helicopter is only for sightseeing or corporate villains from films of the 1980s? Well then, breathe a great big sigh of relief, and prepare to get to the airport in style.
The WSJ reports (subscription required) US Helicopter will start scheduled helicopter service between the Downtown Manhattan Heliport and JFK in March, with services departing from 34th Street and flying to La Guardia to follow later in the spring.
The helicopter arrives at Terminal 9--next to the Admiral's Club, no less. Security is cleared at the heliport instead of at the airport, and passengers flying on American can get boarding passes ahead of time. If a Town Car is about $60 each way, this is a steal at $139 OW.
Just keep those mentions of the Pan Am Building to a minimum.
