Detroit Returns Fire

The Detroit Free Press' own Mitch Albom weighs in (with 100% new content!) on what visitors to Detroit can expect during their week in town.
Apparently, natives are just as nervous about an avalanche of bad press from journalists holed up in the Motor City as visitors are about getting shot, mugged, or offered an employee discount on an American car. According to Mitch, Bourbon Street, South Beach, and, erm, downtown Jacksonville were not accurate representations of their respective towns during Super Bowl week. Instead, visitors to Detroit can expect a find an authentic American town compared to those featured in previous Super Bowl years.
Like, say, a homeless guy asking for five bucks to "watch your car". It doesn't get any more authentic than that.
