6,000 Americans died abroad last year -- were you one of them? If not, the LA Times has some
advice on what to do to prepare for the possibility in 2006. To be honest, the whole thing about carrying a "a note stating what you want done with your remains, and a durable-power-of-attorney document" creeped us out way too much to go further, although you may be made of stronger stuff. "Throw me into the ocean," while a good start at getting your wishes down, is probably not detailed enough.
