Irv's Burgers are Tasty

January 10, 2006 at 12:07 PM | 0 Comments

Southern California is to good burgers what Seattle is to grunge music.

From Dick and Mac McDonald flipping away in San Bernardino to Harry and Esther Snyder serving millions at Baldwin Park--SoCal knows burgers.

Unfortunately, many of the old time burger stands have gone the way of the dinosaur, mostly to make room for condos and pre fab strip mall bullshit.

Luckily, West Hollywood's Irv's Burgers is still around.

More Tasty Irv's Post Break

Currently owned and operated by Sonia, Sean and Mama, Irv's is keeping the independent burger stand alive in SoCal, despite developer greed and the more trendy, beefy Hamburger Mary's across the street.

Irv's keeps it simple--hand-cut fries and tasty burgers, but it is the simplicity and familiarity that keeps 'em coming back. Oh, and it doesn't hurt that the proprietors are extremely affable, scribbling messages on your plate, exchanging pleasantries with customers, and having long conversations with loyal patrons.

We had our burger with swiss and grilled onions...mmm.
