The Return of Monkey Town

Monkey Town, the Williamsburg art gallery/performance space/movie theater/lounge/bar/restaurant, has announced a grand opening date for its new location, and it looks as if this one just might take (inspections, electrical issues, and other problems delayed them a bit). At the October 1 opening, you'll be serenaded by the art punky Tracy + the Plastics, made up of a video artist who becomes all three members of the band. Tickets are $20 (not including food or drinks), and it's certain to sell out. Sounds like a hoot and a holler, as they say, but then so does a bunch of stuff on Monkey Town's calendar.
