Ladies First

September 19, 2005 at 9:05 AM | by sedona | 0 Comments

The Times reports that 'women-only' hotel wings have suddenly taken off and hotels around the world are starting to catch on. Of course, we spotted it a while back, but who knew the concept would prove so wildly popular with the X chromosome set?

Women-only hotel wings mainly offer more security and more of the comforts of home for the ladies. At the Grange City Hotel in London, the 68 rooms feature more bathroom shelf space and illuminated closets. At Jumeirah Emirates Tower Hotel in Dubai, the 10 rooms offer flower arrangements and cosmetics by Chopard, as well as a refrigerated place to store them. At the Presidente Intercontinental in Mexico City, panty hose are in the minibar as well as different snacks and more diet soda. In most of these, waitresses only provide the room service and anything else that requires in-room help.
