Rib aficionados and those who haven't gotten their fill of BBQ sauce yet this summer, head to northern Nevada from Sept 1st-5th for the Best in the West Nugget Rib Cook-Off. This is the real thing, with 25 cookers from across the country competing for the $7,500 top prize and world rib domination.

They've got everything a large-scale BBQ event should have including live music, free admission, other vendors and an exclusive 'Rib Village' prime seating area. Rib prices are pretty damn good too-a rack of 16 is $18. PETA will be there of course, but not the radicals you've come to know--this is "People for the Eating of Tasty Animals"

The website warns, "This is not an event for the meek and recreational rib cooker. This is hard work." We advise you to be prepared.
