Downloading some new songs and an audiobook and throwing your iPod in your bag before heading on vacation is just scratching the surface.

There's just so much more your little audio friend is capable of. Check out some of these new resorces:

Soundwalk.com -where you can buy audio tours "for people who don't take audio tours" for nearly every neighborhood in NY, and also Paris and India. Prices are around $12 per tour.

BlueBrolly will have you covered in London. The 50 min. walks go from everything from St.Paul's to Jack the Ripper to Shakespeare's Riverside. Prices are about $9 a tour.

PodGuides has free walking tours for lots of off-the-beaten-path destinations in Europe. And you can submit your own after your trip.

If in need of a map, go to PodQuest where they have them all from Google to Rand McNally to Michelin. They're about $10.

See, your iPod really does make you a better tourist.
