The New Bike Path

The bike tour is back, and way more unique and interesting. Sure, we've all heard the old stand-bys-biking through Tuscany, or up the east coast-but try around the Erie Canal or Michigan's old rail trails.

Today's NY Times highlights some of the lesser known long-distance bike trips that have unique details like lodging in Rome, NY at Fort Stanwix, a Revolutionay War re-creation. Not to worry-things haven't changed too much, apparently the tour belts out "15 Miles on the Erie Canal" "several times during the week" according to the ride's organizer.
