With master lyricist Eminem's recent philanthropic efforts toward his childhood trailer park home, we got to thinking...what would it be like to spend the night in a sweet set of wheels?
We're not talking pimped out Winnies from Road Rules either.
Enter The Shady Dell in Bisbee, Arizona (that's just about 10 miles north of the Mexican border). At this cozy re-created trailer park, trailer enthusiasts can rent a vintage aluminum travel trailer (think sleek 1949 Airstream) to snuggle up in for the night. Everything's been kept spic & span and exactly as it was at The Dell, you can even turn up the phonograph or the b&w TV.
After a bite at Dot's Diner on the park's premises, head into downtown Bisbee to tour old mining camps, art galleries or just stare blankly at the Mule Mountains and think how far you've come....

Trailers at the Shady Dell start at $40 a night (10' size) and go up to $125 a night (38' size). All sleep two, but for an additional charge three are welcome.
Bisbee's third annual Summer Solstice Solar Cook-off and Expo is on June 25th (yes people, they will be cooking actual food with solar power in "sun ovens").
