How To Avoid Jet Blue Grot

June 1, 2005 at 3:41 PM | by sedona | 0 Comments

Jet Blue is dirty? How so?

Seems being a "discount airline" means slacking on the post flight deep clean, which leads to some funky cabin smells. Luckily, Salon editor Mickey Kaus lets us in on the secret to figuring out if your Jet Blue plane will leave you feeling the need for a post flight shower.

They all have a "name" painted on the nose, a name with the word "Blue" in it. The earlier, older planes got the obvious names ("True Blue"). Later planes, of necessity, got more far-fetched names ("Here's Looking at Blue, Kid"). In other words, you can tell how skanky your JetBlue plane is going to be by how stupid its name is. The stupider the better.

The theory checked out when we recently flew "If The Blue Fits." Odd name--No dicey odor. Let us know if this theory works for you.
