Malmaison Oxford

December 19, 2005 at 12:29 PM | by | Comments (0)

The Times heads to Oxford to pay a call on the newest Malmaison -- a former jail. As is standard boutique-hotel M.O., the place has kept lots of touches of its past around. In this case, that includes a sample cell on display, perhaps to help get you in the mood, or at least to discourage bathrobe theft. An introductory rate of £140 per room is running for stays through January: the package includes a bottle of Veuve Clicquot to help fuel those dirty-weekend-in-Oxford fantasies. You have to book the stay before the end of the year.
