Life in quiet Maine was blown out of the water this weekend by the Spellbound lingerie shop in tiny Augusta. Apparently the shop went as far as to (gasp!) hire live models to appear in its windows. Of course tons of the locals freaked out and complained, but the show went on:
"It's like a New York thing. It's urban. It's edgy," said Stacy Gervais, owner of Stacy's Hallmark Store and a founder of a downtown merchants group.
It's such a New York thing that you practically can't get through the damn Diesel store in Union Square without tripping over their "live models" lounging all over the place...we know, we know...it's the small things in Maine that make the difference.
