A Segway for Koizumi

Here's your world leader update for today: while Pres. Bush has been in Japan meeting with Japanese Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi, he presented his new pal with the dorkiest of gifts, his own Segway.

Koizumi got very excited:

Koizumi took a brief 1 metre (3 ft) ride, and cried out, "Oh, very good."

Bush has also given them to both of his parents as gifts. The really great thing about this present is that it's completely illegal to ride Segways on public byways in Japan.

Perhaps Koizumi should hit the road and check out some Segway tours in other cities!
