The Ritz Takes Top Honors

November 11, 2005 at 9:46 AM | by sedona | 0 Comments

AAA has announced its Five Diamond Awards for 2006, and the Ritz properties seem to be number one--yet again. Three of their hotels and one more of their resturants got added to the AAA list this year.

"Gaining five-diamond status: The Ritz-Carlton, Bachelor Gulch, in Beaver Creek, Colo.; The Ritz-Carlton, Sarasota, and The Ritz-Carlton, Key Biscayne, both in Florida. Also new to the list is the Ritz-Carlton, Chicago, which actually is run by Four Seasons."

The restaurant is Fantino in the Ritz in Cancun (it was rated before Wilma hit tho and is now closed through December.) AAA employs 65 full-time inspectors to show up at worldwide properties unannounced and rate them on different scales. Hm...not a bad gig when you think about it....
