How You Can Help the Victims of Yesterday's Tornadoes in Northern Texas
After more than a dozen tornadoes tore through Northern Texas yesterday, volunteers are already gathering to help remove debris and assist those left homeless by the storms.
The Volunteer Center of North Texas has assembled a Mass Care Task Force, including the American Red Cross, The Salvation Army, the North Texas Food Bank and the Volunteer Center of North Texas.

Alamo Drafthouse Will Keep Their Rolling Roadshow Closer to Home This Year
For the past few years the Alamo Drafthouse has brought classic films to the locations where they were filmed as part of their summer Rolling Roadshow. Last year's events included outdoor screenings of The Blues Brothers in Joliet, IL, and Robocop in Detroit.
But this year, the Texas-based theater chain is keeping things close to home with a Texas-centric line-up. The Roadshow will feature ten screenings of films associated with Texas, like Giant, No Country For Old Men, and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, in Texas.

Micheal Stipe Debuts His New Film Project Tonight at SXSW
A shift has occurred on the streets of Austin. Tuesday SXSW's Interactive conference ended and the Film fest started winding down, just as the Music festival began. Where geeks lined the streets with their iPads and MacBooks Monday, rock bands are now pushing their equipment to their next gig.
R.E.M.'s Michael Stipe is hosting an event Wednesday that will bridge these two worlds. The band is currently working on the Collapse Into Now Film Project, a selection of films accompanying each song on their new album directed by artists personally selected by Stipe.

How to Be a Volunteer at Super Bowl XLV
Now that the San Francisco Giants have won the World Series, its time to start thinking about the sporting world's next big eventthe Super Bowl. Tickets to the Super Bowl may be hard to get, but there are still plenty of ways to participate in the action by volunteering.
Next year's game will be held at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, TX on February 6, and organizers are anticipating they will need at least 10,000 volunteers to keep the event running smoothly. Volunteers will be needed to greet fans at the airport, pass out welcome bags at hotels and staff events for Super Bowl XLV.
