The ARJ21

Back to Story :: 1 :: 2 :: 3

This Chinese-developed regional jet aircraft is more or less the same as the Embraer 170/190, most notably used by JetBlue and David Neeleman's new venture in Brazil, Azul. The ARJ21 has decent range, but certainly won't be flying across the Pacific. From Beijing, the shorter-range model can get to just about any city in China; the extended-range version could potentially reach other destinations in Asia.

It's currently scheduled for delivery in 2009, though recent delays may push that date back.
