Last week, Jake Gyllenhaal made appearances on several TV and radio talk shows to promote his new movie, Love and Other Drugs, which also stars Anne Hathaway. But Jake wasn't just singing the praises of his co-star during the interviews; he was also raving about a special sandwich he had while they were filming the movie in Pittsburgh.
On Friday he told Jimmy Fallon, "My favorite sandwich is a Primanti Brothers' sandwich, it has the french fries in the sandwich and cole slaw."]]>
Have you ever dreamt of sharing the big screen with Jake Gyllenhaal or Anne Hathaway? Who hasn't, right? Well, here's your chance! The pair have reunited for the new movie, "Love and Other Drugs," based on Jamie Reidy's memoir "Hard Sell: The Evolution of a Viagra Salesman," and they need 400 unpaid extras for a crowd scene filming in Pittsburgh, PA next week.
The scene will be a Pfizer rally shot inside Mellon Arena on October 13th. Anyone over 18 is eligible to participate without having to provide a head shot or resume, all you have to do is contact Matt Clancy at the Pittsburgh Film Office via email (mclancy(at)pghfilm.org) or by phone (412-261-2744) by the end of business today. ]]>
Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal check out Madrid's Museo Nacional del Prado, a major tourist draw that locals actually visit sometimes. Reese and Jake, in town for her promotional tour for "Monsters versus Aliens," weren't even the highest profile visitors this week: German president Horst Kohler got his own private tour from Crown Prince Felipe yesterday.
Can't make it to Madrid to check out the best of national masters like Goya? You can now visit the museum on Google Earth, and even zoom in on selected works up to fantastic detail. Still, we have to insist that there's nothing like the real thing.

Apparently even movies based on video games need to shoot real live actors for months at a time. And so Jake Gyllenhaal and Reese Witherspoon are still shacked up in London. The pair was most recently seen shopping for slinky somethings at Myla.
Jake's movie--which won't hit theaters until 2010--will also feature scenes shot in Morocco. Even with the latest currency moves, we'd figure that Northern Africa might make for a thriftier trip.

Reese Witherspoon and Jaunted bestie Jake Gyllenhaal took the train from London to Paris this weekend with Reese's children Ava and Deacon.
Jake's living in London while he films "Prince of Persia," the film that will probably kill the current trend of video-game adaptations.
For her part Reese just wrapped "Four Christmases," a holiday picture about a young married couple (played by Witherspoon and Vince Vaughn) racing to see all four sets of their parents over the Christmas holidays. This trip to Paris, though? Just for the pleasure of seeing Jake's shaggy "Persian" mane.

Jake Gyllenhaal and Reese Witherspoon must be enjoying London. Since flying into Heathrow back in June, the pair has been out and about, enjoying dinner at Scott's and shopping in Notting Hill.
Jerry Bruckheimer joined the couple for that dinner out--probably to talk about "Prince of Persia," the forthcoming video game adaptation starring Jake that's being financed by his company.
Up next for Gyllenhaal is Morocco, where filming will continue. Maybe Reese will join him there for some souk-hopping?

One of our good tipsters spotted Jaunted fave and soon to be star of the live-action "Prince of Persia" adaptation Jake Gyllenhaal on a flight from LAX to Heathrow this weekend. Our spy could have patted the "Jarhead" and "Brokeback Mountain" actor on the head, but refrained:
He kept a hoodie up the whole flight. It appeared to be hiding long hair for the Princely role. He also desperately needed to buy and use a touché éclat from duty free.
Then again, maybe he's just flying to get closer to the space travel! Hopefully when he earns a seat on Virgin Galactic, he'll take his trusty backpack with him (shown here in a 2007 photo, and also by his side this weekend).
