Finally! JetBlue Releases Its First iPhone App: The Full Review

What's the one thing you've been waiting forever for from JetBlue? Duh, in-flight WiFi...besides that. Yes, a freaking iPhone app!
Well, late last night while thoughts of Terra Blue Chips and direct flights to Santo Domingo danced through your heads, the airline's very first iPhone app quietly snuck out into the iTunes app store. It's free of course, and blue and orange, but is it any good?
To keep our opinions short and sweet, yes—it's sooooo good. Like, spread-the-word good. Even if you've never flown JetBlue and don't have any upcoming flights booked, we'd say get the thing for its well-designed flight search and booking (wanderlust fodder right there) and cute little extras, like the ability to use your iPhone photos to create funky postcards, shared straight from the app.

Four iPhone Photo Apps We're Freaking Out Over Right Now

Three Singapore art deco buildings we captured and then combined using Diptic
Okay, sure we're totally obsessed of late with iPhone photo-sharing app Instagram (find us by searching for user "jaunted" within the app!), but it's been a thing for us that, before embarking on a big trip, we'll not only download the best city maps and guide apps for our destination, but we'll also look around for new photo apps to up our iPhoneography game.
Thus, before hitting the road to Singapore, we bought four awesome iPhone photo apps that really worked so well, we were spreading their gospel by word of mouth. Now it's time to share them with you:
· Diptic
Perhaps you've seen these uploaded into Instagram and wondered "what the heck?" Yea, this app essentially allows you to combine several photos from your iPhone into one, combined spread much like setting up one of those old-school family photo frames that ends up dusty on a mantle. The layouts are flexible, and you can adjust each picture for size, color, brightness, etc before saving the finished triptych.
The Latest on the Alec Baldwin, Words With Friends, American Airlines Insanity

Stop us if you've already seen this, but Alec Baldwin took his Words With Friends cause to SNL's Weekend Update on Saturday night to, well...apologize to himself.
In case you've been living in a cave the last several days, the story goes a little something like this: Baldwin was sitting on an American Airlines plane at LAX, playing the mobile app word game "Words With Friends." The plane door had already been closed (the cue to turn off electronic devices), and Alec refused flight attendant demands to turn off his device. He continued playing the Scrabble-like game, even retreating to the airplane bathroom in anger. So the plane kicked him off.
Alec tweeted his frustrations before being placed on a later flight, vowing never to fly American Airlines again. This was followed by a media flurry over the whole juicy ordeal, Alec mysteriously closing his Twitter account, and an offer from Greyhound to come play Words With Friends with their CEO on their buses.
So, back to the SNL video....

If the internet could have earthquakes, we'd have just experienced a minor one as Alec Baldwin went from tweeting like normal, to getting kicked off an American Airlines plane at LAX, to being in custody, to becoming a trending topic, to giving his side of the story via Twitter in just about the span of one hour.
The reason for the tarmac takedown? Apparently, according to Alec, he was playing the popular mobile Scrabble-like app Words With Friends when a flight attendant "reamed" him out. Of course he was probably still playing it beyond the point of being asked to turn off and stow all electronic devices for take-off, hence the flight attendant interference.
