Well, last week he pleaded guilty to defiant trespass. His lawyer was quick to point out that it’s really no big deal, and that it is even considered a crime in the state of New Jersey. No hard time for this guy, but we’re sure there are a few people that were stuck at the airport that day that would have liked to see him picking up trash on the NJ Turnpike.
The sneaky kisser—Haisong Jiang—is really sorry about the whole incident and is prepared to pay up. He’ll be slapped with a $500 fine, some court costs, and he will be assigned to 100 hours of community service.
Iceland Express Begins Selling Flights From Newark For $275

There's a new low cost airline coming into our court, and it's one of our most anticipated travel events for 2010. Can you guess? It's just too good, so we'll tell you: Iceland Express will begin flying direct from Newark International Airport to Reykjavik in the beginning of June, and there's no doubt about it.
This is great news for New Yorkers anxious to have a quick (but far) trip to places other than the Caribbean, the west coast or London. Heck, a flight to Reykjavik is only five hours; we can easily spend that long on the internet at a Starbucks.
So, since this is a low cost airline, they're advertising one-way flights beginning at $275, and indeed we found a plethora of June dates still at this lowest rate, but it looked like return flights are a little pricier at $290. Keep in mind that airlines love to have specials...so we'll be keeping our eyes on Iceland Express for you during the next few months.
Related Stories:
· Iceland Express [Official Site]
· The Hottest New Airline Routes for 2010, Plus 36 from EasyJet [Jaunted]
· Iceland Express coverage [Jaunted]

Newark: What It Was Like To Go Through Airport Hell In Newark On Sunday

Flights were delayed around five hours, everyone's patience was tried to the max, and they still didn't find the guy who walked the wrong way through the exit doors.
On the ground in the melee, we had a friend who spent the night waiting in middle of the airport mosh pit as she went out and back through security, only to endure the long delay for her 6-hour-long flight to San Diego. It sounded painful.
New York : It's A Sad Day For Frivolous Travel As US Helicopter Abruptly Shuts Down

What a bummer for ballers in the NYC-area, and for Jaunted too since we've splurged on the 8-minute flight a few times—one review is here.
The 'copter company, which landed at Delta terminals at the airports and offered seamless transfers to your Delta flights, only began 3 years ago and yet has been plagued with financial problems from the first. Sometimes their desperation for cash would work out for us, since their $99 special would appear every so often and drive us batty with fantasies of flying in friends from the airport as a gift and totally blowing their minds.
The good news is, US Helicopter claims that this stop is only temporary for, as their Vice-President says, "getting our act together." Once they do get their act together, we hope that $159 one-ways that take 8 minutes to get to the airport still include a few specials.
Related Stories:
· US Helicopter Halts Shuttle Service To JFK and Newark [NYT]
· First-Person Flight Reviews: US Helicopter Is Real-Life Google Earth [Jaunted]
· US Helicopter Coverage [Jaunted]

San Francisco: Pill Popping And Flight Hopping: Airport Pharmacies Proliferate

It's crunch time for your flight and you're desperate to pick up your prescription or some nasal spray or just some St. John's Wort *wink*, but you know the airport is notorious for having lots of only one thing: a greasy, overpriced food court. Thankfully, this is no longer the case as some airports welcome Harmony Pharmacies, regular pharmacies stocking necessities and more when you don't have the time to hook yourself up with some last-minute NyQuil.
Back in 2007, Newark International was the first United States airport to welcome a functioning pharmancy with on-site nurse practitioner and prescription service, all of which is still located in Terminal C1, near Gate 91.
Then, during last fall when T5 at JFK opened, another Harmony moved in near Gate 7. Opened in 2002, Gallagher's doesn't take any leaps in the decor of its Terminal C outpost -- checkered cloths and black and white photos abound. But that angle might actually be comforting after a culinarily adventurous trip.
"For airport food it was GREAT!" raves (sort of) a Yelp commenter, but a Bonaire message-board wag faults the joint for closing earlier than posted hours.
