New York: Do As We Say, Not As We Do: Yoko Ono's NYC Rooftop Edition

What's that wise saying again? Ah yes, "do as we say, not as we do." Never is it truer than in this case, where a Korean tourist wandered into a private condo building in New York City in order to access the roof for some scenic city photos. On his way down, he shared the elevator with Yoko Ono who lives in the building, and she called the cops on him. He is now being charged with criminal trespassing. However, what this tourist did is something that happens all the time in NYC, something which no one talks about but everyone does, and this is sneak to the rooftops of apartment buildings.
We've got our own little roof garden secret spot, where the building security is lax and the views are stupendous, but you can be darn sure it's not in a building filled with celebrities who might call 911 when they spy us chugging some Dunkin next to their 34th story daffodil planter.

This stay was historic because its where "Give Peace a Chance was Recorded." Head on over to HotelChatter to see Shira tour the actual suite where Lennon and Oko stayed.
Currently, Montreal's Museum of Fine Arts is hosting an free exhibit from now through June 21 celebrating the bed-in with 140 works on display that includes "drawings, unpublished photographs, videos, films, artworks and interactive materials that convey the famous couple’s message of universal peace." Here, Shira walks us through what to expect from the exhibit. She even tests out the Lennon-Oko Bed-in bed replica. Just watch.
Related Stories:
· Montreal Travel [Jaunted]
· Inside the Famous Bed-In Suite Used by John Lennon and Yoko Ono [HotelChatter]
