Rihanna is fearless when it comes to her fashion and her tattoos but it also turns out she's pretty fearless in her amusement park habits as well.

TMZ snapped the singer boarding the Tatsu roller coaster at Six Flags Magic Mountain outside Los Angeles yesterday. Tatsu, the Japanese word for dragon has 3,602 feet of track that goes 62 miles per hour with 263 feet in plunges and is 17 stories high at its peak. Oh yeah, and you're riding face down most of the way. It may not be as gritty as Deptford, but the new Manta ride at SeaWorld is pretty sick. The ride soft-opened a few weeks ago and while it's not yet had its official opening (that will happen on May 22nd), a few people who have taken the ride have already filmed the experience on YouTube.

If you dare to ride the Manta, you can get a free pass to the front of the line on RideManta.com by doing a two social networking things like Twittering, YouTubing, Flickring or simply taking a quiz.

And you thought the ride ended when you made it safely back to solid ground.

With so many terrifying roller coasters out there, we understand that sensational ad copy is part of selling your new ride. But Thorpe Park in the UK is really going over the top for its Saw-themed roller coaster, set to debut in 2009:

You consider yourself a thrill hunter... But did you truly wish to push yourself to the brink of death, or did you just want a quick fix?

The coaster does promise a decent amount of thrills, with a "beyond vertical," 100-degree free fall, but we hope the park's claim that the ride will be completely faithful to the Saw films is an exaggeration: We could do without the hacksaws and razor wire.

On May 5, 2007 a roller coaster at the park, Fujin Raijin II, derailed due to a broken axle. One person died, and many others were injured . Now, a second Expoland park coaster is sporting a large crack, visible to the naked eye, in its axle.

How terrifying is this? One professional inspector said:

I've never heard of a crack big enough to be seen by the naked eye.

In all fairness, the other roller coasters on this list were scary in a thrill seeker type of way, while the coasters at Expoland are mentioned for reasons that should be self explanatory. No, we are not talking about the Disney ride. That's the Twilight Zone Tower Terror, and shut up right now if you think that's scarier than Dreamworld's Tower of Terror in Australia. Sure, both rides have some serious free-falling action - but Australia's Tower of Terror has you do it backwards. At 90 degrees.

Oh, and it's the fastest roller coaster in the Southern Hemisphere. So, let's just look at the big picture here: when you ride the Tower of Terror, you climb 38 stories high at 100 mph, then you free-fall backwards, hurtling rapidly towards the ground. Yeah, that certainly sounds terrifying to us.
