Ft. Lauderdale: Say Mazel Tov To Underwater Weddings

There’s nothing more special than a bride’s big day, especially when that day takes place under the water. Pro Dive International, out of Ft. Lauderdale, is looking to get into the underwater wedding ceremony business. They’re recruiting priests and pastors to help facilitate their new service, but right now they are focusing on Jewish weddings—complete with the groom smashing a light bulb with his flipper.
The company is testing out using microphones underwater so that the bride and groom can clearly understand “I do.” Video is streamed back to the boat where friends and family can watch, and of course, wonder why their loved ones chose this unique kind of wedding. As long as there’s an open bar, we're sure an underwater wedding is just as good as any other.
For now the dive shop is getting everything ready, but they expect that full wedding packages will be available soon. They’re thinking that things will start at $1,500, and like most weddings, the price will go up from there depending on what you want. At least you can cut out the cost for flowers at a SCUBA wedding, but a nice bouquet of seaweed and algae should compliment any color wetsuit.
Related Stories:
· Pro Dive International [Official Site]
· Fort Lauderdale Scuba Shop to Perform Underwater Wedding Ceremonies [Sun Sentinel]
· Scuba coverage [Jaunted]
[Photo of a happy couple: vonlohmann]

But Verona's council have now made it possible for anyone to exchange vows and wedding rings up on the balcony.
Before you book your flights, you should know that romance don't come cheap. If you're an EU citizen the marriage license will cost you €700, and for those without an EU passport, be ready to shell out €900 ($1,280).
Parrot Cay: Bruce Willis Won't Let Caribbean Economy 'Die Hard'

With Caribbean resorts and hotels offering tons of incentives to lure guests away from watching their stock portfolio crash and burn, it's nice to see that Bruce Willis has manned up and done what we could not do--he chose Parrot Cay in the Turks and Caicos as his destination wedding location.
Bruce married model girlfriend Emma Heming at his private home with tons of celebs in attendance, including ex-wife Demi Moore and her hubby Ashton Kutcher. Word is that all those invitees were shacked up at hotels nearby. Could the brand-new Gansevoort Turks and Caicos have been one of them? Or perhaps the hideout favored by Derek Jeter and his galpal Minka Kelly at the Nikki Beach Resort was used?
We checked Demi and Ashton's Twitter profiles (here and here) but there were no real clues about where they were shacking up. Although, Ashton did post a pic of Demi bending over in her white bikini and she felt the need to tweet "I am madly in love with my husband!" on Bruce's wedding day.
Either way, we bet the island is breathing a sigh of relief over the cash influx on the island. See, celebrities can do good!
Related Stories:
· Celebs Who Twitter [Jaunted]
· It's Wedding Bells for Bruce Willis! [US Weekly]

Brisbane: Wedding Travel: Gettin' Married on a Jet Plane

We've always thought the best part about getting married is the honeymoon, and what faster way to cut to the honeymoon is there than actually getting married on the plane?
That may have been part of the reason for Australian couple Jenny Huntingford and Ettore Rapino to plan their wedding for tomorrow on a Virgin Blue Boeing 737 at Brisbane Airport. The couple will have their ceremony on the airplane but then adjourn to the Virgin Blue lounge for the reception--complete with a wedding cake in the shape of a jet.
We're hoping that from there it's a quick move over to the departure lounge to head out on their honeymoon flight. If they've scrimped on a low cost carrier for the wedding location and flight then we're hoping that at least the honeymoon will be in a luxurious destination.
Related Stories:
· Brisbane Couple to Marry on Aircraft [Herald Sun]
· Virgin Blue Coverage [Jaunted]

If The Dress Fits, Marry Her

Time for another lesson in marriage proposals the Eastern European way. In Serbia, we know men make wedding proposals by spelling out their request with taxis. A bit further east in Romania, one man recently used a Cinderella-style proposal when his fiancée dropped him four days before the wedding: he announced in his hometown that he'd marry whichever girl fitted into the wedding dress!

He's now recommending this to all the local men as the way to find the love of their lives, after the new bride turned out to be a perfect match for him. So let's get some bridal travel going: head to the Malu Mare commune in Dolj country, Southeastern Romania, and attend a few wedding gown fitting sessions until you find your Romanian Prince Charming. No word yet if there are any plans for a honeymoon, but according to the goat's original owner says "We have given him the goat, and as far as we know they are still together".
