We need something to get through the rest of the week and you know what would do the trick? A sugar rush brought on by some Krispy Kreme donuts. It'd be even better if they were in-flight Krispy Kreme donuts.
Good news for us and everyone! Krispy Kremes aren't just limited to standalone stores and the occasional airport kiosk; some airlines actually do serve up the glazed masterpieces direct to your traytable. For this they get major <strike>brownie</strike> donut points!
Three airlines serving Krispy Kreme in the skies:

REDjet, WestJet and Alaska Airlines Lead This Week's New Route News

As long as you can afford the fares, this should definitely help add to your passport stamp collection.
· Alaska Airlines:
Even though their name has the world Alaska in it, Alaska Airlines seems to love Hawaii just as much as their own home. This week the airline announced that they’ll be flying nonstop between San Diego and Honolulu beginning on November 17. They’ll be using Boeing 737s on this route, and this goes along pretty well with their nonstop service between San Diego and Maui that they started up last year. Hawaiian Airlines already flies a similar route between these two cities, so maybe a little fare war can get us to paradise with a little money left over for a Mai Tai or two.
· Volaris:
The time to head to Mexico might be right now if you call Las Vegas or Los Angeles home. Volaris is launching new daily nonstop flights between those two spots and Mexico City, so if you’ve always wanted to see a little more of the real Mexico and less Americans lounging on the beach—this might be a good time. The flights run each day of the week through the end of August, and after that we’re not sure if they’ll decide to change things up. We’re still waiting for Volaris to bring some cheap flights to more parts of the country, but for now, we’ll take what we can get.

Well at least that’s what American Airlines is singing, as they just started up nonstop service to Helsinki over the weekend. It’s a seasonal thing, so be sure to get all your Scandinavian stuff done before the end of October. The new flights depart from Chicago en route to Helsinki with a little help from Boeing 767-300s. This is the first time American is bringing their planes to Finland, so hopefully things will catch on and the flight will become a permanent option.
· JetBlue:
Alright we knew JetBlue would be jetting back and forth between Boston and beautiful Newark, New Jersey, but this week things became official. The airline that loves in-flight television and plenty of free up-in-the-air snacks started four daily flights between the two cities on May 4. There’s a couple morning flights and a couple afternoon flights, so you should be able to find something that fits your schedule. Expect Embraer 190s on this route, which are a little smaller but just as comfy. We actually just flew this route yesterday, so it's totally open for booking and going.

Starting this Sunday—that’s March 27 for you calendar fans—nonstop service will begin between San Jose and Lihue on the island of Kauai. If you prefer leaving from Oakland, they’ve got you covered there as well, as the same destination is available beginning the following day on March 28. AirTran is prepared for the worst, as the newest member of the Southwest Airlines family is starting up some new service to warm weather destinations in the Caribbean. The airline will send planes back and forth between Atlanta and the Dominican Republic beginning February 16 each day of the week. The furry-friend airline will be bringing its warm cookies to Ironwood and Manistee, Michigan as well as Rhinelander, Wisconsin. Starting on Memorial Day and ending after Labor Day, the airline will now send their own planes back and forth from New York-JFK to Martha’s Vineyard off the Massachusetts coast. Expect the same JetBlue service on these routes, as they’ll be utilizing their Embraer 190 planes. The south of the border low cost carrier wants to link Fresno, California with Guadalajara beginning next summer. The airline has yet to announce the flight schedule and pricing, but you can expect that the fares will be quite the deal. Things should become official sometime in January, so we’ll let you know when the Fresno airport get its only international route back.
