United, WestJet and Copa Airlines Plan New Routes to Here and There

Of course they already have cheap flights to here, there, and everywhere in and around Canada, but now they're prepping to take on New York-LaGuardia.
Live, in-flight television will be yours to enjoy on seven new nonstop flights between NYC-LaGuardia and Toronto beginning June 4. A couple weeks later they’ll be boosting the flight frequency up to eight flights, so they definitely mean business when it comes to serving the flying public between New York City and Toronto. They even just launched a codeshare deal with Delta, so you can continue on aboard Delta until your final destination.

We especially love that the cover promises "a look at the complexity and the absurdity of making the world's largest airline." Face it—the "absurdity" is what will sell this issue, once you get past the risque airplane coitus front and center.
UPDATE: We just checked the Barnes & Noble newsstand to see that this issue, with the United merger cover and story, is from January 15 and already off the stands of course.
United, American, Hawaiian and More Break Out the New Routes

The flight to PHL will leave in the morning, and the flight back out to LAX leaves in the evening. With all the competition between these two cities now, we’d expect some decent fare battles throughout the spring and summer season, so get the Tums ready in preparation for cheesesteak consumption.
· American Airlines:
American Airlines loves Brazil, and they’re getting ready to prove it this year. Even without the new plane they’re boosting service between the cities up to 12 times per week beginning June 14. This week there have been plenty of reports about transatlantic flights back to the nifty fifty taking a little detour to our pals up north in Canada.
The problem has been some crazy intense headwinds that have caused certain airplanes to burn way more fuel than usual, making a stop in spots like Newfoundland and Labrador necessary to pick up a little more jet fuel. For the first time, the massive 3-day party will be split in two—two weekends, that is. If you can't make it April 13-15, there's now the option of catching the same acts, on the same stages, with a different crowd around you, on April 20-22.
Headliners of the fest are: The Black Keys, Radiohead and, most anticipated by far, Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg who will close each weekend with a Sunday performance. Other acts due to hit the many stages include Bon Iver, Cat Power, The Arctic Monkeys, Feist, La Roux, Girl Talk, Santigold and really so many others we don't feel like typing them out.
