Los Angeles: Can You Guess The Stylish Flight Attendants?

Yesterday we were participating in some research at Los Angeles International Airport around the baggage claim at Terminal 4 which aside from being home to domestic airlines like American, is also a part of the airport's international terminal.
While we were there, three young ladies in stylish khacki trench coats with adorable little bows in their perfectly coiffed buns caught our attention. We've seen these international flight attendant uniforms before but we were never quite sure what airline they worked for. We now know the answer but do you? Hint: The answer lies in the hair bows.
Do you know the airline that puts their flight attendants in such pretty outfits with cute hair decorations? Put your guesses in comments below. We'll reveal the answer tomorrow.

(For an analytical look at the products featured in SkyMall, we highly recommend perusing through Gadling's extensive SkyMall Monday posts.)
Yet while we're accustomed to seeing ridiculous things inside the pages of SkyMall, we were shocked to find Southwest Airlines on the COVER of a SkyMall magazine.
Guadalajara: Look What We Found in The Airport Bathroom for Diez Pesos

Yesterday we were making our way out of Guadalajara and decided to hit up the bathrooms at the airport right before boarding our plane. Having just finished some enchiladas at the Wings restaurant (we passed on the Chili's chain), our breath was feeling less than fresh which is why we were pleased to see this vending machine inside the ladies bathroom.
For diez pesos, which is something like 75 cents, you can buy a Brushito, an "On the Go" toothbrush set complete with a fold-up toothbrush, a flosser and a mini, mini-tube of toothpaste. (If Barbie bought Costco-sized toothpaste, it would look like this.) And it even comes in little plastic balls, like the ones you used to lust after as a kid. You know, at the grocery store where, for 25 cents you'd get one of these plastic balls that held either a spider ring or a wash-off mermaid tattoo.
Even though we had packed a toothbrush and toothpaste in our carry-on, we couldn't resist buying our very own toothbrush ball, despite the unfortunate name of Brushito. Yet we sort of think all restaurant and airport bathrooms should have these. Fresh breath for all!
Related Stories:
· It's Hard to Sign On at Guadalajara Airport [Jaunted]

Las Vegas: Please Don't Ever Change, McCarran Airport (When It Comes To Free WiFi)

We've sung the praises of the free airport WiFi at McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas before but now that we're sitting pretty in the airport's B Terminal surfing the incredibly fast network, we realize just how much this service means to us.
We spent the past two nights at Encore Las Vegas where, despite the use of a Verizon Wireless Card, we found our signal extremely slow in the rooms. We were able to find a great place to work in the hotel's Lobby Bar and Cafe but the whole point of working from a hotel during a trip is to be able to hide away in your pajamas while you work.
So today, we're extremely grateful that McCarran has continued to offer free WiFi. This new B terminal also rocks. It's bright, airy, clean and has plenty of Wheel of Fortune slots. There's also a 360 Burritto shop, a Fox Sports Bar and a Starbucks. Kinda makes the inevitable Leaving Las Vegas hangover a little more bearable.
Related Stories:
· Airport WiFi Map [Jaunted]
· McCarran Airport coverage [Jaunted]

Summer might officially be over, that doesn't mean that you can abandon a nice outdoor walk and sit back in front of the TV for the NFL seasons. As this photo from Flickr user ultraclay demonstrates, people are still out enjoying the sunshine and fresh (albeit a bit crisp) air on New York's newest tourist attraction: The High Line.
Although it opened back in early June, and we were there on opening day, the High Line has gotten progressively more popular as visitors and locals alike attempt to find alternatives to visiting the Met Museum or walking over the Brooklyn Bridge on a free day. We completely understand. New York might be one of the world's largest cities, and called "the city that never sleeps," but even the most enthusiastic fans of the Big Apple need something fresh to hold their interest. And we believe we've found it—for the next few years at least—in the High Line.
Related Stories:
· Surfin' The High Line: Opening Day At NY's Elevated Park [Jaunted]
· Travel Snapshots Coverage [Jaunted]

Cannes: What We Missed Out On In Cannes

Once again Jaunted Flickr Pool member Chris Gold has come through with a bunch of great travel snapshots for us to sift through on this lazy Friday before Labor Day. Spotted at the Palais Club Disco in Cannes: a girl dancing barefoot on the bar. Not a very wise idea in our opinion. There could be sharp glass and sticky grenadine <s>and blow</s> on that bar there. But when it's hot in Cannes, it doesn't matter.
The massive club can hold about 2,500 jetsetters. Their dress code is listed as "dressy" and this is not a cheap joint. Prepare to max out your Amex. Or get Gianfranco to foot the bill. But it does have a rooftop from where you can gaze out at the Mediterranean and escape the deeply-tanned Euros smoking cigarettes and waving their sparklers.
Sadly, if you're looking to party at the Palais, you'll have to wait until next summer. The club had its summer closing party last weekend.
Got your own travel snapshot?
