While some backpackers work in bars to fund their extended vacations, there's an increasingly popular way to make a fast buck in Britain, but sorry gals: This one's exclusively for the guys.

Our hot job tip is donating sperm. Apparently since the laws changed and children conceived from donated sperm can look up Daddy once they turn 18, locals have gone off the idea. Backpackers figure they won't be so easy to find in 18 years' time.

One third of sperm donors in Britain are now from abroad, including Australians, South Africans and Colombians. These sperm-donating travelers won't get rich overnight but $750 for delivering 20, well, loads, is a much better deal than working late nights serving drunks at the pub.

Looking for a holiday job in Australia? A car wash in Queensland capital Brisbane is advertising some vacant positions at the moment. They're looking for backpackers and travelers who want to earn some quick big bucks at this "small and exclusive car wash".

So what's the catch? Well, this is the Bubbles'n'Babes car wash and you've gotta be topless or nude to work there. It's a response to a drought-induced water shortage that's made it illegal for Brisbanites to wash their cars at home. Topless car washes start at $50, and full nudity (and a clean car) are $100.

A few locals have been complaining about the new business, but police and the local council say nothing illegal is going on: even the job ads makes it clear there's "no hustling and no touching".

The cops did ask for a screen on the street side of the car wash though:

We don't want any traffic accidents caused by people looking at the girls instead of looking at the road.

Safe driving then, and check it out if you want to make Aussie dollars fast.

Here's a factoid for you: while the number of air travelers around the world has spent the last 15 years rising, in Russia it's dropped from 130 million passengers per year during the times of the Soviet Union to just 20 million now. Why? It got expensive, true, when the USSR collapsed, but a key reason is people thought it was just too plain dangerous. The safety record of Russian domestic flights was simply way too unfriendly.

So why, we ask, would anyone want to fly a Russian budget airline? Although there's no evidence to support this, we all secretly assume that budget airlines cut corners and that if you pay about $20 for a flight you can't always expect to get to your destination without a hiccup. Despite this, newcomer SkyExpress has proudly launched flights from Vnukovo airport in Moscow to three destinations around Russia, with an opening special of 500 rubles a flight ($19).
