Alaska: 'Sarah Palin's Alaska' May Be Worth Watching Just for the Scenery

Whether you love her or hate her, you can't deny the impact Sarah Palin has had on Alaska, and its image. Now the state is hoping that influence will continue with her new reality series, Sarah Palin's Alaska.
The series features plenty of Palinisms, like in last night's episode when Sarah brags that her first baby shower was held at the shooting range and exclaims, "I love to share that story 'cause it gets the liberals all wee-wee-ed up." Aside from this, the show also highlights amazing treks through scenic Alaska.

Seaside Heights: Does MTV's 'Jersey Shore' Show Make You Want To Vacation There?

Have you ever "gone down the shore?" Or, better yet, have you seen the new Mtv reality show, following a group of people as they go down the shore for a summer of debauchery and fist pumping on the Jersey Shore? You either love it or despise it with a passion, but it's without a doubt a perfect train wreck of a show, and last night aired the third episode, where the strangers finally mesh and accept their fate to work through the summer as employees at a cheap souvenir T-shirt shop on the boardwalk.
Although the action happens in Seaside Heights, New Jersey, a vacation destination about an hour away from New York City, the antics of the self-professed "guidos" and "guidettes" are rousing the anger in both Times Square (at MTV's HQ) and the heart of dirty Jerz. There are groups (ah hem New Jersey Tourist Board) arguing that the show is stereotyping everything from Italian Americans to New Jerseyans to Staten and Long Islanders (since most of the kids hail from there). But what's really being put on display here, what's really under the microscope, is the loneliness and confusion of the summers of youth.
