At a press event held in New York City yesterday Kevin Smith, and a few of his friends, talked about their latest project: a reality show set in Kevin's comic book store, Jay and Silent Bob's Secret Stash.

Smith explained that the series, simply titled Comic Book Men, is like "Pawn Stars in a comic book store" as the staff—store manager Walt, Mike, Ming who is described as the store's "whipping boy", and Bryan who doesn't work in the store but always seems to be there—buy and sell rare comic collectibles. On the latest episode of An Idiot Abroad 2: The Bucket List, Karl was sent off to swim with dolphins in Australia, but we know it's never that easy.

Before getting to Australia, Karl had an extended layover in Bangkok, Thailand, where he unknowingly walked into the traditional New Year Water Festival on his way to the hotel. Surprising, Karl doesn't seem completely miserable to be in Bangkok and played along nicely with local "Ladyboys", even as they outfitted him with a bedazzled gown, make-up and wig at the Mambo Cabaret. On this week's episode of An Idiot Abroad, Karl Pilkington crosses another journey off the Bucket List: traveling across Russia on the Trans-Siberian Express.

When Karl arrived in Moscow to board the infamous train, a cranky taxi driver briefed him on the trip, explaining that Karl was about to spend a week, "in a smelly carriage with Russians who will not wash for a week but they will drink." But, at first that was not Karl's experience at all. He checked into a first class private room on the train and was actually—for maybe the first time on the series—happy. Over the weekend, the Science Channel series An Idiot Abroad returned, and this time around Ricky Gervais' sidekick Karl Pilkington is crossing dream trips off a bucket list. The only problem is—it's not his list.

Once again, Ricky and his pal Stephen Merchant are sending Karl off to exotic locales around the world, where he must check items off a list of "100 Things To Do Before You Die" - or what Karl calls "death stuff," and once again he's complaining his way through each journey.

In the premiere episode Karl is sent out to spend a night alone on a deserted island, but first stops off in New Zealand for a quick bungee jump. Last night it seemed of all of Hollywood was roaming around The Beverly Hilton, where both The Golden Globes, and most of the show's after-parties, were held.

After the red carpet arrivals and the ceremony—where Michelle Williams, George Clooney, and Meryl Streep, were among the big winners—the stars hit parties at the hotel's pool, on the garage rooftop, and in the Hilton's conference areas. Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein will soon find out if they can put a bird on it in Springfield too. The Simpsons has tapped the dynamic duo of IFC’s Portlandia to guest star on an episode, entitled The Day the Earth Stayed Cool, that will air next fall.

Fred and Carrie will voice characters who are part of a “cool” family which moves in next door to The Simpsons from Portland. In the episode Homer will try to be friends with them, but Marge will remain skeptical about being that "cool."

Simpsons executive producer Al Jean said the Portlandia stars are "the best thing to come out of Portland since everything our show took out of Portland," including Portland native and show creator Matt Groening.
