After an outing to Manhattan for lunch at a scene-y spot, the "Real World: Brooklyn" cast is making an effort to explore its eponymous borough. The latest reported sighting had the kiddies enjoying the always-happening Prospect Park:

If you saw a bunch hipsters in Prospect Park being followed by cameras, it wasn't your imagination, it was "Real World: Brooklyn."

Here's hoping they weren't further infuriating locals by flipping burgers at an illegal barbecue!

A few months back we reported a UFO sighting off the coast of Australia's Northern Territory on Groote Eylandt, but apparently UFO season Down Under hasn't stopped there.

The History Channel is about to send a production team from "UFO Hunters" down to the Northern Territory to investigate a whole raft of UFO claims, including one from Acacia Hills resident Alan Ferguson, who's keen to help the tourists out:

If I can spot the UFOs, I will point them out to them. They don't know what I know--I know too much.

And we thought the Northern Territory was simply full of dry and empty desert. We obviously don't know enough!

Now that's what we call energy independence! TV bachelorette DeAnna Pappas and her fiance Jesse Csincsak go for a tandem ride in Venice Beach yesterday.

It's always fun to go for a bike ride, but make sure you stay in regulation areas: A spate of off-roaders in Wales has done such major damage to the peat hills that it's visible from a plane. Stick to trails whether you're on a bicycle built for two or a lone rider.

Given that "LOST" creator JJ Abrams' new series "Fringe" (Sept. 9, 8 pm, Fox) begins with a plane crash just like its established cousin, we're pretty sure the producer and director has a serious phobia to deal with. But Flight 627 lands at Boston's Logan with every single passenger dead, and dead in a particularly gruesome way, so there will be no desert island shenanigans here.

A federal agent (Anna Torv), a mad scientist (Peter Noble) and his genius brat son (Joshua Jackson) believe the answer to the fate of Flight 627 lies in the realm of "fringe science"--explaining the unexplained with possible supernatural intervention. So, in other words, the Cloverfield monster did it with an assist from the smoke monster.

We haven't seen the two-hour, $10 million pilot yet, but Wired.com says it contains "a doomed airplane, hairless weasels, rooftop chases in the 'Bourne Identity' vein, acid-tripping federal agents and more translucent skin than you can shake a fat-encrusted artery at."

Sidewalk cafes are big this time of year in New York, but wouldn't the less-trafficked streets of Red Hook be a more pleasant place for an al fresco lunch than a bustling corner in Chelsea? Not if you're filming The Real World and want a cool shot!

The cast was seen lunching Tuesday at still-sizzling Cafeteria, which New York magazine once praised for its people-watching:

You're sure to run into someone you know, or at least recognize from US Weekly.

The real question is why the cast wasn't at Delicatessen, the brand new SoHo spot from the same owners.

"Six Feet Under" creator Alan Ball got bit by the vampire craze and created HBO's new series "True Blood," about a small Louisiana town where vamps have come "out of the coffin" to coexist peacefully with humans.

Of course, the humans don't know the bloodsuckers walk among them: This arrangement is largely due to the invention of a synthetic blood beverage called TruBlood, which fills their need for the red stuff.
